Today is the autumnal equinox, a day of symmetry, equal parts day and night. Many people spend the day giving thanks for the abundance in their lives, celebrating the harvest, even giving back to those less fortunate. Me? I’ve spent the morning in my Bible Lit class, where I’ve found I’m not as isolated as originally expected.

A Changing Season. A Changing Me.

There's Always a Snake
Dreamed about a snake last night. Correction: snakes. Plural.
Needless to say, it was one of those 'toss and turn' kind of nights. I was in one of those small-town "zoos" where one room houses chickens, rabbits, frogs, turtles, maybe a fox or another random small animal. And a snake. There's always a snake.

Priorities... Can't Live Without 'Em
There’s nothing worse than having to figure out my priorities. Gag. But the beginning of a new semester demands it, because without having an official list drafted, I quickly begin to feel like I’m drowning.

Dreaming of a Pink House
Every day on my way to school, I pass a famous author's house. According to her web site, she has more than 10 million books in print. I've never met her, although I live less than 5 miles away, but I did sit near her in the doctor's office once.
